Mr. Chaib conducts an interactive meeting with a group of our community who have implemented successful investment projects in their homeland and who are project owners.


The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, on Thursday, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with his government colleague, the Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises, Noureddine Ouadah, chaired an interactive meeting that brought together members of the Algerian diaspora who have implemented successful investment projects in Algeria, as well as project holders who are in the process of implementing projects across various sectors and formats.

The meeting also included representatives from the ministries of Industry, Agriculture and Tourism, as well as from the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) and the Bank of Algeria.
According to the statement, this initiative is part of the efforts to strengthen the role of economic actors from our diaspora community and support them in implementing their entrepreneurial projects in their home country. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives, listen to the concerns and suggestions of the business operators, and present their various projects.

In a speech on this occasion, the Secretary of State said that this initiative represents a preliminary step that will be followed by other activities, hailing the interaction and engagement of the various participants.
He further commended the operators’ involvement in the country’s development process by taking advantage of the facilities provided to them and Algeria’s business and investment climate.
In this regard, Chaib stressed the commitment of all state services at all levels to accompany investors and project holders from among our citizens living abroad to implement their investment ideas and initiatives inside the homeland, in line with the supreme directives of the country’s highest authorities and the government program aimed at boosting the role of the national community abroad in the social and economic development process of our country.
