Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr.Ahmed Attaf, welcomed Mr.Maxim Ryzhenkov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, on Wednesday at the ministry's headquarters.

Mr.Ryzhenkov is on an official visit to Algeria.

The statement noted that Attaf held a private meeting with Ryzhenkov, followed by extensive discussions involving delegations from both countries.

The meeting provided an opportunity to conduct a comprehensive review of Algeria-Belarus cooperation, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries this year.

Both FMs emphasized the importance of building on the outcomes of the first session of the Joint Commission, held last April, to elevate Algeria-Belarus relations to new heights, particularly in preparation for upcoming high-level bilateral events.

Additionally, the ministers exchanged views and analyses on various international and regional issues, underscoring the need for continued mutual support and coordination in international forums.
