Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr.Ahmed Attaf, received on Tuesday Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Guyana to the United Nations (UN), Mrs.Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett, on the sidelines of the 12th High-Level Seminar on Peace and Security in Africa (Oran Process), being held in Algiers.

The ambassador welcomed the close coordination and ongoing consultation between the two countries as members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

Guyana's Permanent Representative also commended praised Algeria's exceptional leadership on the Security Council, highlighting its role in uniting the voices of the three African countries in collaboration with Guyana, which represents the Caribbean within the A3+ Group.
